Oak from National Trust

This afternoon I've been unloading some (more) oak purchased from the National Trust - it is the base of the tree, cut into Cheese shaped wedges by chain saw which I hope to use in making some clocks when it is dry.

It is cut into cheese shaped wedges so I can use the timber 'quarter sawn', which means it is more stable and has the quarter sawn rays that I like to use.

Excited by how I could use it, it will just take a while to dry out.
